We are often asked by guests about how to combine your Cotswold Hiking Holiday with seeing other places of interest in the UK. If you are planning an itinerary then here are some popular choices.

London, the capital of England with its numerous famous sites. Popular choices include Buckingham Palace, Houses of Parliament, Tower of London, Big Ben, London Eye & Westminster Abbey.

The South West region & the rural counties of Devon and Cornwall renowned for their beautiful coastlines & beaches. Not forgetting cream teas, Cornish pasties, wild moorland and pretty towns & villages.

Popular choices closer to the Cotswold region are Stratford upon Avon and Oxford.

Stratford is the birthplace of William Shakespeare and a pretty riverside town. It is the home of The Royal Shakespeare Company who perform regular plays at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre.

Oxford, the famous University city is known for its beautiful architecture, called the ‘city of dreaming spires’.

Blenheim Palace

Close to Oxford is nearby Blenheim Palace, the English country mansion, built in the early 18th Century. It is the birthplace of Winston Churchill.
